With over 20 years of trusted care, New Glory Preparatory & Learning Center has been a cornerstone for families. Proudly serving the community from two convenient locations—1044 and 1492 Mississippi Blvd—our mission is to nurture the hearts and minds of children from infancy through their school-age years. At New Glory, we believe in more than just childcare; we believe in building a foundation for lifelong learning, character, and confidence. Our rebrand is a reflection of our continued growth—still rooted, still thriving, and still dedicated to excellence.
Our History & Founder
New Glory Preparatory & Learning Center was founded by Mr. Henry “Mr. Hank” Brooks, Jr., a visionary who turned his passion for children and community into a lifelong mission. Mr. Hank began his career in childcare under the mentorship of his uncle at Zion Day Care, eventually becoming Director. After his uncle’s passing in 2004, he took a leap of faith and founded New Glory, determined to build a center where children could learn, feel loved, and be inspired to dream.
With a heart for both education and adventure, Mr. Hank created a space where hundreds of children experienced learning beyond the classroom—through field trips, summer camps, and hands-on activities. His belief in excellence and service helped New Glory flourish into one of the most respected childcare centers in the area.
Today, his legacy continues through two thriving locations and a dedicated team committed to carrying out his vision: to educate, uplift, and build children from the ground up—with faith, structure, and heart.

Henry “Mr. Hank” Brooks, Jr.
Founder & Owner
Mr. Hank is the heart and soul behind New Glory. With over 20 years in the childcare field, his vision continues to guide our mission: to create a safe, nurturing environment where children grow academically and emotionally. His legacy of leadership, excellence, and faith is the foundation of both our locations.
Tanya Mason
Administrator – 1044 Mississippi Blvd Location
Tanya oversees operations at our first location with a deep passion for children and a strong sense of structure. She ensures a high standard of care and maintains strong relationships with staff and families alike. Tanya brings years of hands-on experience and warmth to every classroom.
Amber Buggs
Administrative Director
Amber leads our second location with a heart for both education and innovation. Her focus is on delivering engaging programming, supporting teacher development, and helping each child thrive. She’s an advocate for excellence and growth at every level.
